About the event

Children and adolescents with a disability such as ADHD, Anxiety Disorder, Dyslexia, or Autism may also demonstrate exceptional abilities or potential in a strength area such as math, writing, cognitive skills, performing or visual arts, creative thinking, leadership, or sports.  Creating communities that celebrate twice exceptional people's strengths and support their vulnerabilities is critical to intentionally cultivating belonging and inclusion.  Ensuring equity starts with identifying twice exceptional youth to ensure they have access to supports to meet their needs.  Supporting positive identity development as a personal with a disability and giftedness is essentail.  It is critical to use a strength based approach to nurture their strengths and support their areas of need across settings such as school, home, and the community.  Engage in this transformational learning to walk away with ways to teach twice exceptional youth to understanding the different components of their identity.  Join for a neurodivergent affirming approach to support the twice exceptional people in your life!
